Absolutely loving this jerkin, and I can't wait to see how it stands up to colder weather. Concerning the leather straps, a solution I found was to thread them through the metal anchors. That way they stay down and look uniform.

This jerkin is absolutely beautiful. When I opened the package, the strong smell of leather assaulted my nostrils. I can't say enough about this jerkin. It is well made, with a satin interior. It would go well with many different period costumes. The only drawback is the straps. They should have placed a loop on the jerkin to thread the excess straps through. I know Brian said that the brass trim has enough room to thread the excess through, but my jerkin doesn't. However, I just loop the excess strap length over/under itself just past the buckle and it is fine. If you are on the fence considering buying this jerkin, you should just order it before they stop making it. It is well worth the price. You will not be disappointed.

I just received my Jerkin and tried it on, Perfect fit!!! And the belt straps can be kept flat, the little brass trim where the straps are attached to the Jerkin have enough space to thread the excess. The Jerkin is well made from leather and I could not be more pleased with this purchase. Brian

I love it, its a lot more comfortable then I originally thought it would be. my only issue with it is there isn't an effective way to keep the belt straps laying flat. otherwise amazing piece and very comfortable
