This heavy-duty infantry sleeveless Gambeson was worn by knights and men-at-arms alike. The heavy quilted 100% cotton body makes it a great addition over a shirt of mail. It laces up the one side along the torso and the neck, giving this garment a fitted look, while the high collar adds the needed extra protection. Dry clean. Shown with the Robin of Locksley Gambeson #100476. Choose from black size S/M only, or burgundy size L/XL only.

Looks great and has some weight to how padded it is; very functional, very comfortable. Instead of cotton or some other material being used as the padding some sort of synthetic fiber was used, so don’t stand to close to a bonfire… but that being said, I don’t regret the purchase. Very well made.

These are as beautiful as they look on the website. However, the burgany is closer to a brown. I bought one in black for myself, and one in burgany for my boyfriend and they both fit well and will work nicely under our armour. They also seem quite breathable with just the right ammount of padding - no trying to move in puffed out parkas.
