No issues closing hand I have a medium size hand. Issue was it came with rust on the fingers and mildew on the leader. Sending it back for replacement at least send it with out rust( Their quality control is lacking this days at Museum Replicas) The helm also came with quality issues.

Bought the Gauntlets for a Fantasy costume I was making, They have no articulation in the hands what so ever, and the square leather hand pouch ripped open when tightening the wrist strap. They are nice beautiful design, But NOT functional unless your only using them as a display piece.

These gauntlets are nice looking and well made with one exception, they are not functional. There is practically zero articulation making it impossible to close the hand let alone grip a weapon. I bought mine, along with the rest of this armor for display purposes so this was not a big deal for me. If your looking for functional gauntlets I would not buy these but for display they are absolutely great looking. David Cellini WMA Student and A&A Collector
