A forerunner of many long parrying daggers of later years, the poignard's long reach made it very effective. It saw much use in its own day as a backup weapon on the battlefield.  They were even carried at court when swords were forbidden, as they made formidable weapons in the hands of an expert. Includes scabbard. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts®. Can be sharpened for additional fee.

Even though I gave the poignard the highest rating, be sure not to store it routinely in the scabbard. The scabbard leaves faint marks on the blade near the hilt. I removed the marks with Flitz metal polish.

I love the Poignard. It is huge, almost a sword, very light weight but strongly made. The worksmanship is exquisite. I paid for it to be sharpened and the edge is like a razor. The finish is satin smooth. It fits my hand like it belongs there. Even the scabbard is beautifully made. Highest marks!

The only problem with this dagger is now I want another and my girlfriend wants one too. I have wanted one of these for over a year and the wait was more than worth it. Feel, look, and everything about this blade is perfect.

Beautifully made example of a Late Medieval Dagger. Perfect for Court or for the Battlefield.

Great dagger! Seems to be well built, has a solid construction. Heads up though, the wire around the grip is actualy gold and not silver as the pic may portray. No biggy. Great buy!
