Surprised
Not what I expected. I looked at this item a long time before finally making the purchase.  Glad I did! This is a big dagger. Balance is great but what I found most pleasing was the large sweeping arc of the guard. Great defensive weapon for parrying.

A Poignard is typically a long lightweight thrusting knife. Often the blade is triangular in shape. I would consider this a long Dagger. Add another two inches to the length of the blade and you  have a short sword. This is an excellent, well made weapon. The quality of the steel is really good. Balance is perfect. It comes with a well fitted sheath. It is designed to be a fast, close quarters weapon. Love it.

The only problem with this dagger is now I want another and my girlfriend wants one too. I have wanted one of these for over a year and the wait was more than worth it. Feel, look, and everything about this blade is perfect.
