    Circa 1300

This medieval arming, or short sword features a blade that swells slightly at the top to put more weight in the hand to improve its cut and thrust capabilities, making for a very fast sword. The furniture is steel and the grip is wood covered in leather. A very effective and important sword. Includes matching scabbard. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts. Can be seen in E. Oakeshott's book "Record of the Medieval Sword". Can be sharpened for additional fee.

Disappointed. I own many Windlass swords and this one if one of the most disappointing. The blade geometry near the hilt is off and the "Made by Windlass" is laser etched on the blade. I usually removed it it with a coin when this was done with ink. If windlass is laser etching their name on their blades, I am going to stop buying them.

I ordered the Sword of Courtenuova, but received this one instead. Can't complain, this one is more expensive! Super light and fast. Seems very well built.
