Circa 37 AD

Life in the arena could be ended as swiftly as the combat. Many types of weapons were employed but few were relied on as much as a good sword. This Gladiator Sword, based on an Iberian type, is a no-nonsense weapon with a short blade capable of powerful cuts and lighting fast thrusts. Antiqued brass parts with a hardwood grip shaped for a positive grasp is married to a well-tempered high carbon steel blade. Scabbard included. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts®. Can be sharpened for additional charge.
  • Overall: 23-1⁄2"
  • Blade: 17" long, 2-1⁄2" wide, 3⁄16" thick
  • Wt: 2 lbs/4 oz

The sword itself is excellent. It's put together well, has a good balance and weight (somewhat front-weighted like a falchion, but not as noticeably so). I took off one star for the scabbard, which, while functional, is somewhat cheaply designed. An excellent buy, however.

Just picked up this piece, I haven't used any tried and true methods of testing it yet, but believe me the weight and balance of the blade does seem superb, and is a very noble yet versitile look to it. I love it!
