WOW! AMAZING
Just recieved mine today after nearly 5 months waiting.  Worth every penny.  It's a two handed beast for sure and you will not be able to wield this one handed.  I did get mine sharpened and I mounted it vertically with a Balmoral lambswool tartan from the film.
It will take months to get after ordering and I did get mine sharpened.
Mint sword!!

This Sucker is Legit!
I've always wanted one of these and I don't at all regret waiting to get it.  First impressions were iffy, as the box it came in wasn't really reinforced or anything.   But, luckily it arrived unscathed and may I say glooorious!  This thing is bigger than I pictured.   It's listed at 61" and I measured mine at 59 1/2", so close enough.   It's made well, and it definitely looks the part.  I'm not exaggerating when I say this thing is a legitimate weapon.   No joke.  Whether you want to cut bottles with it or hang it on a wall itll be what you want it to be.  For me thats an uber sexy wall hanger, and it'll do it well.  You won't regret getting one.  It took about  3 months to get, so plan accordingly.

Bestest Braveheart available!
My first compliment goes to the superbly done packaging of a long, sharp and heavy object!
Love the sword, and wish I was man enough to actually WIELD it. I wish you luck!
I paid extra to have mine sharpened, and it makes it difficult to handle safely, so think hard before choosing that option.
This is the best Braveheart replica I could find, past and present, after an exhaustive search, so just buy one before they're gone!

Sons of Scotland...
This sword is impressive. I received this as a Christmas gift. I was and still am blown away.

It greatly exceeded my expectations. I handled the braveheart claymore previously. The leather was a brighter tan color. The blade stock seemed thinner.

This freedom fighter version has a lovely darker leather on the handle and ricasso. The pommel and cross guard also seem antiqued in person. The combined affect is one of gorgeous class.

The sword was sharpened by mrl,  and is a calvary dicing razor. I have not cut with it yet,  but I can update the review if possible once I try it on the pill,  bottles, etc.

It's a heavy sword,  obviously,  and stats list point of balance out at 11 inches. There is historical precedence for this sword,  it's just not historically called a claymore. Point of balance probably should be more around 5 or 6, maybe even 7 inches from crossguard.

11 is a bit far comparing to other examples of this sword. However,  I am able to wield this in one hand. It is more comfortable with two hands.  It excels and I believe was designed by windlass to use one hand on grip and one on the leather wrapped ricasso.

In this fashion you can "half sword" and really make this blade move! This is how I have been practicing forms with it. A horse killing sword when swung from the grip. Half swording in the crush of battle. The balance falls to the handle on the ricasso.

Again,  I can say enough how beautiful this replica is. Tight fitting, well constructed with a good temper. The blade is flexible but plenty rigid.

Windlass has done very well and the details on the cross guard and pommel are exquisite.

Wonderful sword! It's a bit whippy, but not nearly as bad as some of their other larger swords. The appearance is fantastic, and very well made. One of my favorites hands down.

I bought this sword on a daily deal.  It has become one of my favorite swords in my extensive collection.  It is well made and beautiful.  It does suffer from some whippiness due to its extensive length but it is not too bad, especially considering its size.  Although not historically accurate this sword is one impressive beast.
