Belt Leather is low quality "filled" water-buffalo, but the buckle and tip is why I have bought several of these belts. They are pricey considering the overall quality, but large stylish 3-inch buckles and tips are hard to come by and the appearance is good, especially when re-fitted with a replacement cow-hide belt-strap. Buy it for the buckle and tip - toss the junky belt - and re-mount the hardware onto a 3-inch cow-hide strap from Tandy Leather or Leather Factory.
