This type of sword would have been raised to defend against the Turks. The eastern kingdom of Hungary was often a battlefield that kept the Turks away from western Europe. This very fast, cut-and-thrust sword has a faceted pommel and simple guard, both of steel. The beautiful grip is hardwood with a raised center ridge and the upper half is wrapped in leather making for a very positive grip. Includes scabbard. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts®. Can be sharpened for additional fee.
This is a beautifully crafted sword. The handle is nicely made, with a comfortable leather bottom half, and smooth wood at top. It is the perfect size with a little bit, but not too much, hand room. It is well balanced and the blade is very sturdy. The blade's length is not too short, but not too long, which is great for using it with speed. The scabbard it came with was great for the sword and didn't take up more room than it needed to in a good fit.

At last a sword I can truely love: light, elegant, and quality construction. A real beauty at a great price.

Very light and quick sword. Thanks to the ridge in the middle of the hilt, one's grip is very secure and tight. Love it!
