Just received a pair of this beautiful and deadly axe! Tops even the Dragon Hunter Fantasy Axe! Although this was a movie prop weapon featured in "Gladiator", it also resembles the Dalcassian Axe favored by Irish warriors of the 10th & 11th centuries. Used at by Brian Boru at Clontarf in 1014 to destroy the Viking power over Ireland. Also used in fiction by Celtic warriors Turlogh O'Brien and Red Cumal (characters of Robert E. Howard). And Tolkien dwarves like Gimli certainly would have appreciated it!
