very good. the hilt appears to be peened and is solid. the fitting of the blade into the guard is tight; the hole isn't over-sized so there should be no issues with shifting around.

This is a fine reproduction, and completely functional. The blade is stiff, well tempered and beautifully finished. I had mine sharpened and it was honed perfectly to a near razor sharpness with no visible secondary edge. A remarkable reproduction!
