CYOS - Brushed Blade

The brushed blade is much easier to maintain than the polished one for a functional weapon.    Any surface scratches on a brushed surface like this one from back yard cutting can simply be buffed out with an ultra-fine 3M 7448 scrubbing pad.  

Remember though that after any re-polishing of carbon steel, it's necessary to re-seal the blade with a protectant like Windlass Rustblocker to prevent corrosion.
