The Warbrand Sword
(A)
This sleek, two-handed weapon is light and versatile enough to be
used on foot or on horseback. It makes for a fine slicing weapon, but has
a strong thrusting point, as well. Since there was no formal name for
this weapon, we have chosen “brand,” an ancient name for a sword.
The strong grip has wooden scales and antique copper fittings. Made

Crusader Chopper
(B)
No known historical name exists for this sword, howev-
er it does appear in other manuscripts from the period. Our
version can be clearly seen on plate 21 entitled “The
Rescue of Lot.” The single-edge blade is broad and flat,
while the two-handed grip provides a tremendous
amount of leverage, generating a large amount of
force. Hand forged of high-carbon steel by

The Maciejowski Bible or Crusader Bible was created in
Northern France around 1250 A.D. It has become one of the
most accurate records of medieval warfare during that time.
Though depicting scenes from the bible, the arms and armor
were drawn from the current dress of the time. This collection
represents a series of pieces, accurately reproduced from this
magnificent record of 13th century men-at-arms.
