This beautiful dish is carved from olive wood in Bethlehem by the Giacaman Family. Made by hand from a single piece of wood, the bark has been left on the sides for a rustic, cottage look. Perfectly sized for candies, nuts, keys, pocket change, or small decorations. NOTE: No two will be exactly alike in texture, grain, or size.
Olive wood is an extremely hard, dense wood making it more stain and odor resistant than other woods. With proper care and maintenance, your bowl will last a long time. Hand wash with mild detergent and warm water and dry immediately with a lint-free cloth. Do not leave in standing water as it weakens the wood fibers and can lead to splitting and cracking. To enhance the wood grain, rub the bowl with mineral oil and wipe it off with a dry cloth. This will also preserve the character of the wood.
